NOTICE IS HEREBY given that the Town Board of Herman, Dodge County, Wisconsin, will meet at Herman town hall to go on road inspection to discuss what roads need repair on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 4:00 pm. In the event of inclement weather, the Town Board will meet on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 4:00pm to conduct the road inspection. Action may be taken at the next Board meeting.
Town requests person requiring assistance to enable attendance and participation to provide at least 24 hour notice.
Notice: Members of other governmental bodies of the town may attend the above meeting. Pursuant to State ex.rel., vs. Greendale Village Board, 173 West 20 533,494 NW 2nd 408 (1993), such attendance may be considered a meeting of the respective governmental body. This notice is given so that members of other governmental bodies of the town may attend the meeting without violating the open meeting law. At each particular meeting, no action will be taken by any governmental body other than the governmental body specifically referred in session at that time pursuant to this notice.
NOTICE IS HEREBY given that a General Election for Wards 1 & 2 in the Town of Herman will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2017. The polls at the Herman Town Hall, W1892 Rock Rd, will open at 7:00 am and close at 8:00 pm. The Polling Place is accessible to elderly and disabled voters.

Notice of Meeting of the Local Board of Canvassers
At the close of voting on Election, pursuant to the provisions of Wis. Stat §19.84, the Election Inspectors will convene as the Local Canvassing Board for the purpose of conducting the local canvass pursuant to Wis. Stat §7.51. This meeting will be open to the public pursuant to Wis. Stat §19.81-89.
Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the Town of Herman Zoning Board of Appeals on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at 8:00 p.m. at the Herman Town Hall on the request of Emmanuel Lutheran Church for a variance to the Town of Herman Code of Ordinances §384-17 C(1)(b) and §384-46A(1) for property located in the NW ¼ of the NE ¼ of Section 14. The variance requested is to reduce the minimum requirement of a side yard of a principle building and for a variance to change the entryway steps to a deck which is in the required road set back. All persons interested are invited to attend and be heard. Board members and Plan Commission members may be in attendance at this hearing.

Under Wisconsin State Statute 5.84(1), the Town of Herman will be conducting a public test on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 9:30am of the optical ballot tabulation system and touch screen equipment to ascertain that it will correctly count the votes cast for all offices and on all measures for the Spring Election to be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2017. The test will be performed in the clerk’s office at N7240 Ferris Road, Mayville. The test is open to the public.
